서울토토사이트 슈어맨교 인공지능 정책 이니셔티브(SAPI)가 주관하고 서울토토사이트 슈어맨교 법과경제연구센터와 서울토토사이트 슈어맨교 인공지능신뢰성센터가 공동으로 주최하는 올해 세 번째 SAPI 콜로퀴엄에 여러분을 초대합니다.

이번 콜로퀴엄은 Hung-Ju Chen 교수(Institute of European and American Studies of Academia Sinica)로부터 “벼랑 끝에 선 표현의 자유: 생성형 AI와 민주주의(The Freedom of Speech under Siege: The Tension between Generative AI and Democracy)”에 대해 들어보는 자리입니다. Chen 교수는 콜로퀴엄에서 민주주의 시스템 측면에서 인간과 컴퓨터의 상호작용에 대해 생성형 AI가 제기하는 도전과제와 새로운 규범적 해결책을 제시할 예정입니다. 다음은 Chen 교수의 발표논문의 요약입니다.

The relationship between artificial intelligence systems and democracy has been studied extensively for a long time. However, as generative AI systems become more widespread, new challenges have arisen in human-computer interactions using natural language. By distinguishing three levels—content, environment, and infrastructure of communication—this presentation analyzes the challenges to identify the unique issues posed by generative AI within democratic regimes and demonstrates that freedom of speech and personal autonomy are facing unprecedented crises. Furthermore, it discusses the normative perspective on how the law should regulate human-computer interactions and proposes a new conceptual approach to the design of AI systems to preserve the value of personal autonomy.
